Announcement of the demolition of an entertainment facility
Regarding the demolition of one of the café-bars located on the Batumi Boulevard coastline - "Portodessa", we would like to provide the public with detailed information and explain that the process of dismantling the unauthorized building is taking place in full compliance with the law. In May 2017, a lease agreement was signed with Resta LLC, granting the use of a 1,386-square-meter parcel of land. The terms of the agreement stipulated the placement of a lightweight structure on the plot for catering and entertainment, as well as the dismantling of the structure and restoration of the plot to its original condition upon expiration of the lease. Term of the agreement expired in October 2019. Due to the pandemic, a second contract was signed, valid until November 1, 2020. After the contract expired, the company did not vacate the territory. At this stage, the aforementioned cafe-bar was operating without a construction permit. The Boulevard Administration filed a lawsuit in court regarding the release and return of the property to its free condition, as well as the delay in the property's return. As of today, Resta LLC has been fined GEL 268,145.60 for non-fulfillment of the terms of the agreement. The company also violated its obligation to locate and dismantle the facility, as result a fine of GEL 49,073.75 was imposed.
