The coastline damaged by the storm is being repaired
Measures to eliminate the damage caused by the 8-point storm have resumed on Batumi Boulevard in the morning. Cleaning and, at the same time, restoration works of the damaged infrastructure are intensively carried out. Using special equipment, inert mass is being removed from the walking and bicycle paths. Mobile groups of Batumi Boulevard LEPLand the relevant service of Batumi City Hall continue to work in emergency mode. Yesterday, the heavy rain and difficult meteorological conditions in Batumi created a number of problems in the new boulevard. The promenade, garden and beach infrastructure were damaged, several sections of the territory adjacent to the Aquapark were flooded, and the walk path was covered with inert mass. The amount of damage caused by the storm will be studied by a specially created commission and will be announced in the next few days.
