Demolition of wedding palace on Batumi Boulevard begins - Batumi Boulevard 1881

At the initiative of the Government of Ajara and in in coordination with the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, the demolition of the wedding hall located at the central entrance to Batumi Boulevard is underway. The decision to dismantle the building was made in accordance with the boulevard's strategic development plan and taking into account the high public demand, which has been actively expressed by Batumi citizens for years. The size and placement of the wedding hall building restricted the spatial view of the boulevard from the main entrance to the boulevard and the amortized building failed to meet applicable standards, on the basis of which it was included in the list of objects for demolition determined by the development plan. With the support of the Government of Ajara, the House of Justice will develop a new concept and the wedding palace will be built in an alternative location on the new boulevard.
